Monthly Stays in Sapporo: An Apartment You Can Live InStay guideAll Good Stay

For a stay of a month or more in Sapporo, an apartment beats a hotel by a wide margin: a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, fast Wi-Fi you can work on, and a quiet neighborhood you can actually live in. Our three SAPPORO NORTH apartments in Kita ward are built for exactly this, and for stays of several weeks or more we arrange conditions directly. Here is what a long Sapporo stay is really like.

What a long stay needs

  • Fast, stable Wi-Fi for video calls and remote work, not just browsing.
  • A full kitchen with real cookware, because eating out every meal gets old and expensive fast.
  • A washer and dryer in the apartment (the dryer matters in a Sapporo winter).
  • A desk or table you can actually work at.
  • A neighborhood with a supermarket and convenience stores, not just a station mall.
  • A way to receive packages, because a month of living means online orders.

Living in Sapporo through the winter

A long stay here often runs into winter, and that changes what matters. Our apartments are warm and private, with a dryer so wet gear and laundry are handled overnight, and the Namboku subway runs underground, on time, through any snowstorm. From Kita-18-jo Station you reach Odori and Susukino in a few minutes without waiting for a bus in the cold, so daily life stays easy even in February.

The neighborhood: quiet Kita ward

The apartments sit in a calm residential part of Kita ward, a 4 minute walk from Kita-18-jo Station and a short walk past Hokkaido University. Convenience stores, supermarkets, and local restaurants are close, and the center is a few subway stops away. It suits remote workers, people on long projects, researchers and visitors to the university, and anyone planning a soft landing before a longer move.

Rates, tax, and booking

For stays of several weeks or more, email us before booking; direct long-stay bookings can often get better conditions than any nightly calendar shows. Sapporo charges an accommodation tax per night, so it is worth understanding for a long stay: see our accommodation tax guide for the details. Check-in is self-service, so arrival timing is flexible.
